|  And I totally nailed it, mind you. I love how most recipes will give you directions on how to make the filling, and then on the ingredients list, they have "pie crust." Well, guess what? I had to make that myself, too, because they don't sell them like that here. Sometime this week I think I'm gonna make another one and take it to the office. Maybe it'll cheer everyone up a little bit. In other news, I've started watching Supernatural. I'm only 6 episodes in, and I do love it so far. But, man... Certain parts seriously freak me the fuck out because I'm pretty superstitious myself, believing in urban legends and everything... That episode about Bloody Mary gave me nightmares. That's all I'm sayin'. | |

|  I've pissed my pants multiple times watching the latest episode of CASTLE! The brown coat is back! And he's considering being a space pirate for Halloween! NATHAN FILLION, I LOVE YOU! On a completely different note, what's up with certain shows skipping episodes? Last week there was no new Vampire Diaries. And this week there's no How I Met Your Mother or The Big Bang Theory. Do I suck at finding them, or did they just not air? 2:33am Edit: I've realized I've unintentionally lied to ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) busem when I said I'd seen The Jane Austen Book Club because I had it confused with Becoming Jane, which I had in fact seen. | Thanks for all the get well wishes, guys. Sally's doing better. Her fever is down, but I think her stomach and intestines are still hurting because she keeps twitching and curling up into a little ball. It's been 3 days of antibiotics and vitamins shots by now, but the vet said she should go in for 2 more days. Hopefully then she'll be her old silly self. Anyway... |  Sally Daisy has been sick, that poor little thing. Yesterday, when I got home after work, I saw that she'd pooped on the carpet in the entrance, and it didn't look normal. So I called the vet right away, and they told me to bring her in. They gave her 2 shots, one an antibiotic, the other one supplements like vitamins and such. They also gave her a different kind of food for the next few days, and another medicine that I've been force-squeezing into her mouth twice a day. We took her in for shots today, and we have to do the same tomorrow. This entire thing is costing us (me and my sister) 150TL, which is INSANE. If you have pets, though, be careful because the vet told us that they think this is some of a virus spreading around. If your pet gets diarrhea and has a high fever at the same time, you're better off taking them to the vet 'cos they'll need those antibiotics shots. Wednesday night I could not sleep at all, so I was planning to go to bed right when I got home from work yesterday, but that didn't happen. First we went to the vet, then I remembered I told my friend Hakan we could do a lesson yesterday (I've been giving him English lessons for 4 weeks now). So, yeah. You have until the end of this month.- Turkcell's internet service for cellphones is such crap. I don't wanna talk too much shit about it yet, but it pissed me off. All I want to do is to be able to text @vtext.com addresses from my cell so I don't have to sit in front of the computer the entire time when I'm texting Kathy. I did manage to go online with my phone, but I don't wanna have to open up a page and log in to GMail for that. I don't have that kind of patience. And what I do wanna do has to be possible. I'm gonna go in tomorrow and ask them, and if it can't be done, they should just cancel my service.
- Apparently, there's a church here in Istanbul--of course, there are churches; you know what I mean-- that's only open on the first of every month. My boss said all the wishes she's made there had come true, so she's taking me with her on November 1st. I used to believe that you make your own luck, but this past 2 years I've learned the hard way that sometimes, when you're unlucky, you're just unlucky and there's nothing you can do about it. And trying just hurts more. So, yeah. I'll go and light a candle and make a wish.
- I wish I was good at plucking or waxing my eyebrows 'cos I hate having to pay for it, especially when I'm this broke. At least I know how to make them not look like a rain forest, right?
- I wish I could go on a shopping spree, but no can do.
