1. If you could go back in time and take a snapshot of any point in your life, what would the snapshot be of? Describe it.
It would be at my grandmother's sister's summerhouse, me and my sister laying down in between her and grandpa in their bed in the morning, listening to the wonderful stories he would make up as he went along. It felt warm and fuzzy, and there were stories, and I was innocent and hopeful. That would be a great snapshot to keep.

2. What do you like most about life in Istanbul?
The food. I've realized I like nothing else about this city. In addition to its own, it holds a lot of my personal history as well, and most of that is exactly what I wanted to get rid of in the first place. Every place, every sound and every smell reminds me of people and times I don't wish to think of ever again.

3. What do you miss most about life in Philly?
My friends and my kitty, and the smell of freedom and being on my own. I feel out of reach and safe there; my only responsibility is myself, which is more than enough. And, of course, I really miss the concerts and getting lost among the never-ending shelves of bookstores. What else? Onion soup and 25-cent wing nights.

4. What emotion is most difficult for you to put into words?
Confusion.


5. What would you rather be doing right now?
Gulping down a bottle of Jager and writing.
