Garth Nix's comment on the back cover pretty much sums up how I feel about it:

I wish my younger self could have had the opportunity to read and reread this wonderful book, and my older self wishes that I had written it.

This one also takes its place among my favorites. I wanna just crawl inside it, walk around the pages, spending more time on my favorite parts, and then falling asleep in Mr. & Mrs. Owens' tomb when I'm tired.

Added to Scrapbook 2009.

I'd read some of his books a few years back, but they were Turkish translations. After re-reading Stardust in English, I've noticed it was a BAD BAD translation, which is probably why it didn't have the same effect on me. I'm reading The Bluest Eye now, but after that I'm gonna read Neverwhere, in English this time =)

Thank you for reminding me I wanted this! The library doesn't have it, I'm totally buying it this afternoon. :)

YES, YES! It's sooooooooooo good. And at this link I've given out earlier, they have videos of Neil Gaiman from the book tour, and he reads ALL the chapters himself-- it's PURE MAGIC.

YAY! I'm glad you're loving it. Are you on GoodReads.com, by the way? 'Cos if you are, you should definitely add me-- I love stalking what others are reading =D

I so am! I wish I had more time to read it though - I've been ridiculously busy at work and the only time I have to read is before I pass out at night and while drinking my coffee in the morning. :/ Hopefully I'll have time to finish it this weekend! And I'm not, but I'll totally check it out (and add you)! :D

Ugh. Work has pretty much been the same for me, and at the end of the day, I'm usually too tired to do anything else, even if it's just having a cup of coffee with a friend. I still can't sleep at night though, so I read! I feel like my body's seriously gonna fall apart one day *knocks on wood*

You definitely shall! And I just saw your GoodReads comment. I'm half-way through The Bluest Eye and I'm probably gonna finish it tonight. I was saving it for a time when I needed it, and now I'm realizing that it's definitely now.
