Translation:For Simay,
A hello that's a year late.

Backstory:His new book (new book at the time) came out when I was in my senior year of college. Once I read that, I read his old ones as well, again. I'm sure I don't need to tell you how tough that year was, and I would just read my favorite book of his (Git Kendini Çok Sevdirmeden) whenever I felt depressed. At the end of the year, I found his e-mail and sent him a note, asking whether he would sign the book and then send if back to me if I mailed it to him. I didn't hear a word. I sent him the same e-mail a few more times and then gave up.
NowstorySo tonight when I caught him, I told him the story. He said he must have missed the e-mails and apologized, and then he was like,
Of course, I will sign your book. My book's in Philly, but thankfully I had my journal with me. It just feels so good that he took the time to write something special to me in the dark, having actually
listened as I chattered like a school girl.

I love it when people I admire turn out to be sweeter and kinder in person.
Thank you for sharing your words; you fucking deserve to be my favorite.
