This is what I'm currently knitting. I actually had to sit down and do MATH! to get the gauge right. It looks like this so far, which looks a bit different 'cos my yarn is thicker than what the pattern calls for.

I was hoping to wear it in spring/summer, but by the way it's going, I'm lucky if I can get it ready by autumn. I used to hate wearing anything other than black, but I guess the weight loss is bringing out all the colors in me because I've been obsessed with pastels lately.

I can't seem to rest this weekend. It's so frustrating.

• Periods suck.
• I'm resisting the urge to watch The Curious Case of Benjamin Button online because I really wanna see it at the movies. I was going to tonight, but that didn't happen. Hopefully sometime this week.
• My room is the coldest of the apartment. It's okay, but when they turn the heat off I literally start freezing.

I've started working on a new scarf, and it's coming out better than I've imagined. I'm calling it "In Bloom."



Mondays are just so damn annoying.

My JuJu-doll, dreamxobscene, and I have a whole bunch of amazing memories, but the one Aiden show always stands out: whenever "Moment" comes up on my iTunes, I find myself giggling to death. I will wait for this moment when our HIPS collide and almost stop the earth... And we both grabbed that yummy Wil-ass; harrr.

The worst part of being sleep deprived is the fact that it makes you stupid, and you're aware you're being stupid, yet you can't stop it. That's how I've been for a while now. Today at work I went to the kitchen to refill my coffee cup. As soon as I was in there, I went, "What the hell did I come here for?" and went back to my office, still holding the empty cup. That's a whole new level of stupidity, even for me.

I was gonna go to Buyukada with a bunch of my single friends Friday night so we could avoid Valentine's Day and just party. Doesn't look like it'll happen because the weather's not on our side. Thankfully, Jack & Jill by James Patterson, which is the third book after Kiss the Girls, came in today. So it looks like I do have a date after all, with Mr. Alex Cross.

This week has been truly weird. Weird how, you ask? I don't know. I just can't come up with any other adjective that will come close to defining it.

Since Sunday night, insomnia has kicked in. I think I've slept a total of 10-15 hours this week. It was so frustrating that there were times when I just lay in bed and talked to walls just to pass time.

Pari's going to be here tomorrow morning; I'm so excited. Basak and I are picking him up from the airport. Before that we're going to have breakfast somewhere' although we have no idea where, ha!

Other than the above, I have so much to do tomorrow that it's not even funny. Since we're picking him up, I can't get to the post office like I've planned, so I'll have to do that Monday morning. Ahhhh!

Yes, you were right, everyone should have equal amounts of time to speak, but you've completely forgotten the most important thing: It's not what you say but HOW you say it. Isn't it enough how much you've already fucked everything up, and now you're making an ass out of us to the world once again? FUCK YOU. Really, FUCK YOU. And don't act all shocked now hearing that everyone's canceling their meetings with you. Who in their right mind wouldn't?

Oh, and, for those of you who haven't heard, he put a video on YOUTUBE addressing Obama... How long has it been now since YouTube's been BANNED here? A year? What's he gonna do now, imitate the way Obama crosses his legs like he did with Bush? You know what... FUCK HIM TO HELL.

Am I the only one annoyed by the news saying he speaks English well? Yelling "one minute; one minute" is not enough to measure good English as far as I know. Why did he switch to Turkish then when he had more to say?

I'M PISSED. I'm so fucking pissed. This is the main reason I don't ever wanna watch/read the news again, but my nosey self always wins. Ugh!

On a calmer note, I just finished this book:

1. Most people who suggested I HAD TO read this (#1 being my sister) kept going on and on about how awesome it is. So I guess my expectations may have been too high.
2. The concept is rather genius; I'll give him that.
3. It was a fun and quick read, but I hate everything about advertising.
4. It was pop-culture overdose. That was rather annoying.
5. I don't feel I've gained anything from it, having taken a shit load of advertising courses in college.

This is pretty much why I got to watch so many movies this week. I just have to have something on while I knit.

I love love love the outcome of double-knitting, yet it goes way much slower because I know if I fuck up I won't be able to unknit. Or lose my mind --well, what's left of it-- trying.

I had originally started like this, but screwed that up to the point where it cannot be undone. Here's how my second try has progressed so far:

Knitting is just one of my attempts at avoiding reality. I'm pretty much in the weirdest situation of my life, and I want out, yet have no idea how.

There are a couple of things I'll never understand:
1. Why people would rather have you lie than dealing with the truth. The fact that I don't and won't and can't lie is getting me in trouble, and I think it's absolutely ridiculous.
2. How people expect you to love them unconditionally. If such a thing exists, please do fill me in on how the hell it works because I have NO idea.
3. How someone can use the words angel, swinger, dearest and sexual power in the same sentence while talking about the very same person.
4. How people expect you to magically figure out what they're mad at when they refuse to tell you, and actually manage to make you feel bad about it.

I had a lot more, but I'm distracted. Oh, well.
