I've just looked over my most recent entries and realized I've sucked at LJ-ing lately.

It's just that everything feels like such a drag.

You’re always ahead of the game
I drag behind
You never get caught in the rain
When I’m drenched to the bone every time
You’re the first one to swim across the Seine
I lag behind
You’re always ahead of the game
While I drag behind

P.S. As soon as I figure out how, I'm deleting my fucking last.fm account. Consider it my protest against them refusing to acknowledge the fact that not everyone can afford a new computer with a new system that can run their new application. I'm sick of getting the color wheel thrown in my face every time I open the damn thing.

It's amazing how much sorrow this city holds for me. It feels so big yet so damn small at the same time.

I've been super-busy lately. I'm working on 2 outside papers, and the anti-depressants aren't helping. They help me sleep, I'll admit that, but they're making my brain all cloudy, and I hate it.

I've also signed up for Spanish classes yesterday. So, starting from May, I'll be busy on the weekends as well.

Sometimes I feel like I'm taking on a lot more than I can handle, but then I think, I've had to do this ALL my life and have kicked ass most of the time. At least this time it's MY choice.

I'm very bored at work, so my mind is drifting off to everywhere else.

I'm thinking maybe I should switch to Blogger. Any thoughts? I have an account on there, yet never really blogged on it.

I'm at work right now and don't have much time to update, which is why I'm putting off replying to your comments. My mother screwed up our phonelines and stuff, so I won't have internet at home for a week-- very sucky, I know. I'm updating my Twitter from my cell, and that's all I can do for now.

P.S. Lady GaGa will be in Istanbul as well. Oh, yeah; I'm so going.

  • Today was the regional elections here. I was all hopeful and all when I got up this morning, yet this totally sucks.
  • hauntedlaundry.org has been updated. Some of you were wanting to read my Placebo interview, and it's up in the writing section now along with the rest of the articles.
  • Speaking of Placebo... THEY'RE GONNA BE IN TURKEY IN JUNE! And, of course, I'm going. Husby's following up to see when tickets go on sale so we can get ours right away. I have to somehow get backstage or make myself visible or something-- I want Stef to autograph our photo together.
  • I had dinner with my father, his girlfriend, my sister and her friend tonight. Dad and I have been getting along a lot better lately, which is a good thing. I've always said I'd never forgive him, and I still don't think I can, but he's trying so he definitely gets credit for that. He actually asked me if I needed money, and he gave me some anyway even though I said no. I know this sounds rather horrible, as if it's all about the money, but really it's not.
  • I really wanna go bowling. Gotta arrange that soon.

Now, a survey stolen from Sarah-doll, [info]seethrulingerie: ... )

And I'm off to bed.

And there's even a website to prove it.

I've been having a SATC marathon since Friday night, and the more I watch, the more I hate Carrie Bradshaw-- not that I ever really like her anyway. And am I the only one who thinks nothing looks good on her? That oh-I'm-so-sexy look she throws at times? Yuck.

Anyway...

Samantha: Babies are not my scene. And from what I've heard, this one's an asshole.
Carrie: You can't call a baby an asshole.
Samantha: Why not? She called him a meatloaf.

Heh.

God, I'm pushing my limits with this whole boredom thing.

Zim's brand new Twitter.

You know you wanna.

I couldn't find most of you, so go ahead and add me please.
28th-Mar-2009 01:43 pm - Saturday randomness...
books: JT
  • I've been shaking my ass to random dance music for the last 40 minutes. I think I kinda overdid it because I'm having trouble catching my breath, hahah.
  • I think Depeche Mode is a no-go. I was okay with how expensive the tickets are, but it'll be at Santral Istanbul campus, apparently, so thanks, but no thanks. It's not like I've never seen them live anyway.
  • When I get my paycheck, I'm getting new shades (my Dior ones are broken, can you believe it?!) and this purse. I've debated it for a while now, and my decision is it was made for me.
  • I've been sort of seeing someone for about a month now. She reads my journal, apparently, and asked me why I've never mentioned her. Here you go, doll.
  • I'm probably going to Bodrum for a weekend in May to join my aunt's Kanasta party.
  • For the first time in forever, I'm super-bored. Can you tell?

ETA: Question for Mac users-- is the last.fm thingy working for you while posting here? I can't get mine to work.
